Woodrow Wilson
Why We Like Him: University of Virginia has seen a large number of distinguished people graduate from its campus, one of whom was Woodrow Wilson, the 28th president of the United States. As president, he helped guide America through the horrors of World War One and tried to create the first semblance of a world wide organization for all countries, called the League of Nations. His efforts helped pave the way for the United Nations and for the rise of America to its superpower status today.
