Why We Like Him: Robert F. Kennedy, attended law school at the University of Virginia. Kennedy was the US Attorney General from 1961-1963. Soon after his brother, JFK, was assassinated in 1963 Kennedy resigned from his position and began to pursue Presidential candidacy.

University of Virginia alumnus Robert F. Kennedy is well liked because of his efforts towards civil rights for African-Americans. He fought for the cause of the anti-Apartheid movement when few other US politicians would. RFK also fought against organized crime, and during his tenure as Attorney General, organized crime convictions rose by 800%.

Robert is pictured at the left with Mickey Mantle at Yankees Stadium. Prior to his untimely death, Robert Kennedy was a fine example of a hardworking, successful University of Virginia student.
