Dr. Charles T. Pepper
Why We Like Him: You simply have to like Charles T. Pepper, who received his Medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1855. The creator of a popular soft drink happened to be in love with Charles' daughter. Thinking it would earn him his love's hand in marriage, he named the drink after Charles. Et voila, "Dr. Pepper" became an American iconic soda pop! I wonder if the inventor ever married Dr. Pepper's daughter and lived happily ever after?
